Eagle Eye Clinic
The Eagle Eye Clinic provides comprehensive advanced specialty eye care. The optometrists prescribe glasses, perform limited contact lens examinations, and conduct eye health evaluations. The optometrists also prescribe medications to treat eye diseases or injuries. The Optometry Service will order glasses and required optical devices for all Active Duty Service Members and Retirees.
Appointments are available for TRICARE PRIME and TRICARE PLUS patients only. This is the only way to obtain routine exams for spectacle prescriptions. Retirees may bring in spectacle prescriptions from an eye doctor and the clinic staff will order one pair of military glasses per year. The prescription must be current (less than one year old). Minor repairs to glasses can be done and/or replacement glasses ordered as needed. If you are having eye pain or sudden loss of vision, you may be seen on a walk-in basis throughout the day. Please understand that walk-in patients will be seen as soon as possible but priority is placed on those with scheduled appointments. Eye examinations are authorized for those dependents covered under TRICARE PRIME and TRICARE PLUS only. The Eagle Clinic will perform the examination and provide a written prescription for all dependents. Dependents will not place orders for spectacles with the Eagle Eye Clinic, however, this must be done by an outside source.
Appointments can be booked using the Kenner Appointment Line Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Patients may also utilize TRICARE ONLINE to schedule appointments as well. These appointment slots are for Active Duty Service Members, Retirees, and dependents only.
